On International Women’s Day, the women of Haven for Humanity Uganda filled the streets of Gulu with color, music, and purpose celebrating resilience, community, and transformation. Once silenced by poverty, violence, and inequality, they marched boldly as survivors, leaders, and changemakers.
Led by Mama Stella, a domestic abuse survivor turned entrepreneur, the group carried banners reading “Empowered Women Empower the Nation.” Their chant “When a woman rises, a village prospers” captured the essence of the day and the 2025 theme: “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress.”
This wasn’t just a parade it was a testament to real impact.
Beatrice, a tailoring program graduate, stitched 20 dresses worn by the market vendor women group.
Thanks to donor support:

✅ 60 accessed mental health support
✅ 30 girls returned to school.
As the day ended with songs of gratitude, the message was clear: this is just the beginning. With continued support, these women will keep rising — for themselves, their families, and their communities.
Thank you for marching with them. When you invest in women, you uplift generations.
